My wife and I feel very lucky to have selected Ellen Livingston as our real estate agent for selling our house in Pittsburgh. Being already past the age of 80 and having lived in the same house for 46 years, we were not the typical sellers. Ellen was a perfect choice for us. She showed patience with us and kept us informed of every step of the way. She always could be reached in a very short time, no matter the time of day. She regularly kept us informed of all the developments in the process and reminded us of the things we needed to do. She was very thorough in gathering all information about the house and the market in the neighborhood. She listened intently to our good and bad selling points so she would come up with an accurate selling price. As a result, we feel she was able to sell the house very quickly and at a good and fair price. She even came to our house to help with our packing and find junk removers and cleaning crews. Her work paid off when someone in the neighborhood who happened to be looking for a house met Ellen while she was at our house helping with moving the day before the house was to go on the market. Ellen reluctantly showed the house at a chaotic time but the prospect and her husband became the buyers. The closing was almost exactly one month later. Ellen continued to show her valuable help by finding crews to fix electrical, plumbing and other problems discovered in the inspection. Not only did Ellen do a superb job in selling our house but she was a key for us to find the house we bought by her putting us in contact with another outstanding Berkshire- Hathaway agent 500 miles away.
